Indore Calling
You can still picture the street. The terrace you grew up on, the chai stall on the corner, your parents’ voices from the next room. You left it for Bengaluru, Gurugram, Pune — maybe a visa and a much longer flight — because that is where the work was. Here is what nobody told you: the work came home.
You left for the right reasons. Those reasons changed.
A generation of Indore’s and MP’s brightest went where the jobs, the colleges and the ambition were — and for a long time that meant elsewhere. From Bengaluru to the Bay Area, you will find people whose parents still live a short drive from Rajwada. Coming back used to mean trading your career down. That trade is gone.
The Indore you left is not the Indore calling you back. It is the one being held up as what a modern Indian city should look like.
The Indore you would come back to
Not nostalgia — facts, as they stand right now:
The cleanest city in India. Every single year since 2017. Eight wins in a row, now in a league of its own. You feel it the moment you land — roads you can actually breathe on, a civic pride that is real, not a slogan.
A metro that is already running. Live since 2025, roughly 17 km and 16 stations across the city, with the line to the airport coming next. The daily grind you escaped in the metros did not follow you here.
An international airport, the busiest in Central India. Over 4.4 million flyers last year, now operating around the clock, with direct flights to the Gulf and a single hop to every major Indian metro. Home is not cut off from anywhere anymore.
One of the only cities in India with both an IIT and an IIM. The kind of talent gravity most tier-2 cities can only wish for is already here, feeding the city every year.
A startup scene that stopped apologising. Roughly 1,300 startups, new IT parks going up, a dedicated Startup Park coming on the Super Corridor, and the TiE Global Summit — one of the world’s biggest entrepreneurship gatherings — landing in Indore this year. Grade-A office space costs a fraction of what Mumbai charges.
And the schools, the hospitals, the food. Serious schools for your kids, real healthcare, and — let us be honest — the best street food in the country on a Sarafa night. We made the fuller startup-city case for Indore here.
The quiet math nobody does out loud
In the metro, your salary buys a 2BHK you may never own and two hours a day in traffic. Here, the same number can buy you a plot — land with your name on it — and a house you actually design. Evenings with your family instead of a commute. Parents down the road instead of a festival-season flight. That is not a lifestyle downgrade. For most people, it is the upgrade they had stopped believing was possible.
Who we are calling
All of you — not just engineers. Anaxee runs on far more than code. We want technology talent, yes, but also business development, content and marketing, legal, finance and accounting, and operations people who want ownership, not a seat in the machine. If you are genuinely good at what you do and you have been quietly missing home, this call is for you.
And the work is not small. From Indore, you would help run one of India’s largest last-mile networks — reaching 540+ districts, the Bharat most companies never touch. Big-city scale, built from home. Here is what it is actually like to work here.
The honest part
We will not oversell it. Indore is not Bengaluru — the nightlife is quieter, the very top-end salaries can still run higher in the metros, and a few industries simply are not here yet. If your identity is the big-city hustle, you may miss it. But if you have been doing the math on rent, traffic, air and time away from the people you love, you already know which way it points.
Indore is calling. Will you pick up?
Tell us what you are great at — tech, BD, content, legal, finance, operations. There is a real chance there is a seat here with your name on it.
